YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia said he has suffered losses across his personal, financial and professional life after a segment on India's Got Latent sparked legal action.

Earlier this year, police in Maharashtra and Assam registered FIRs against Allahbadia, comedian Samay Raina and others, following a clip from the now-removed YouTube show that included a sexually explicit question. The National Human Rights Commission also flagged the content as harmful to minors.

In an Instagram Q&A on Wednesday, Allahbadia was asked what he had lost in the fallout. He listed health, money, opportunity, reputation, mental peace and his parents’ trust. He added that the episode had placed jobs at risk for more than 300 people linked to his channels.

“I aim to recover what I lost through work and accountability,” Allahbadia said.

On the prospect of apology, he reiterated a public statement in which he said, “Comedy is not my forte.” He has filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking protection from coercive action under the Information Technology Act and Indian Penal Code.

Raina removed all episodes of India's Got Latent from his channel as inquiries continued. Both Allahbadia and Raina appeared before Maharashtra Cyber on Tuesday to face charges of obscenity.

Asked about the impact on his family, Allahbadia said the ordeal affected his parents but added they had remained supportive. He credited yoga practice for helping him cope.

“The process is not over,” he said.

The case remains under investigation, with authorities yet to file charge sheets against those named in the FIRs.
